South African born music artist Jabulile Dladla discovered her singing talent at the young age of 10. She started singing at school and on the weekends she sang at the local neighborhood venues.
In 2001 at the age of 23, Jabulile’s love of music caused her to go to Johannesburg to pursue her music career and dream. She left behind her loving family and young son. She met and worked with different famous singers and in 2002 she was lucky enough to join the two time Grammy Award Winners, Soweto Gospel Choir. This union opened the opportunity to travel the world singing Gospel music.
Dladla traveled with the Soweto Gospel Choir to many countries on the continents of Australia, Europe, North America, Asia and while working with the choir she also had the opportunity to work with famous singers and celebrities Bono, Celine Dion, Spike Lee, Angelic Kidjo, John Legend, Alicia Keys, Christoper Tin and Peter Gabriel.
After 11 years of travelling with the choir Jabulile opted to leave the choir and to join her husband who is in Canada. Within 3 months of coming to Canada she wanted to expand her singing career and taught herself how to play the piano with a little help from her husband. She also started solo performances in different venues in her new hometown, which has made her name to the top list of musicians on the Sunshine Coast of Vancouver.
Dladla’s soothing and unique voice has left some of her audiences in tears. Her music tells a story and she is inspired by Tracy Chapman . Jabulile’s future plans in the music industry is to have her own recording label and to start her own music production. Jabulile doesn’t only specialize singing, she also writes songs for other people too. She has composed a song called ‘Devil is a liar’ which is sung by the South Africa Zululand Gospel Choir. This song is featured on their live performance DVD and you can buy it in all iTunes stores.
She was recommended by the two times Grammy Winner Christopher Tin to some of the young producers based in Los Angeles and was given the opportunity to collaborate with the orchestra in a backing track of an animated movie (World of Spiders). Dladla will be working with Anastasia and she has to come up with Zulu words for the song. If you are interested to work with Jabulile she can be contacted at on email@example.com
