Jake Kerr Speaks About
Canadians Ownership Bid
Prospective Vancouver Canadians owner Jake Kerr was a guest on the Bill Good show recently on CKNW. He
spoke about his plans to take ownership of the NWL Vancouver Canadians before the start of the 2007 season.
He stressed that buying the Canadians won’t be primarily a money-making venture for him and his
partners. Instead, Mr. Kerr has a community-minded approach to his vision for the ball club. He sited plans to
increase pre-game festivities to include more activities for children and more entertainment for families.
Improvements to the concessions and seating at Nat Bailey Stadium to improve the baseball experience for all
Canadians fans, are also in his plans.
Jake Kerr is a successful BC businessman and the chairman of Lignum Investments.
As of July 31st the Canadians are 24-18 and in 2nd place in the Western Division behind Salem-Keizer (29-13)
